General Update

Hi all....it's been a long time. This is Caitlyn taken this summer. What a cutie!
Well, let's see...what's been going on??
Fireguy came up for the long weekend. He spent most of his time geo-caching (he got a whole bunch), but we did manage to take in the Westville parade for July 1st. It was actually quite good. Lasted a little over an hour. Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe were there (wish I had taken my camera!)..they were good. The RCMP Pipe Band was there as well..first time I had ever seen them...very impressive. Lots of good pipe bands and of course fire trucks! Some very nice antique cars too! We enjoyed it. Then we went to the fair just to get some fair French Fries...well worth it!
So, Fireguy left Monday morning and Monday evening Michelle et al arrived for a two day visit. I loved it. Of course, the 17 year olds didn't come...not cool you know. But Jamie and Todd and Caitlyn were here (Michelle too). So wonderfully wonderful to see them. Although Jamie is nearing 14, it appears he still loves me..hehehehe. And Caitlyn gives me a great big smile when she sees me. (Don't tell anybody, but I think she does that for everybody..but I prefer to think it's just for me). Todd mowed our lawn and barbecued for us (great vacation for him eh?). And Michelle tried to read a book...hehehehe. It was so nice to see them I just can't explain it!!!!
Anyhoo.....the rain has temporarily stopped and it appears there is a yellow ball in the sky! We have had some very vicious thunder storms! And rain rain rain! But we were lucky the day Todd barbecued...it was nice. Poor Caitlyn had to sleep in a box. A big big box of course....and not closed! I think Todd took a picture...I hope Mikki posts it.
Whilst Fireguy was here I had a tad of an accident. I sliced the back of my hand open while doing dishes and had to go to the ER for stitches. Waited three freaaaaakkkkking hours! There was blood everywhere! But today, I got my stitches out and am almost as good as new.
Also had my semi-annual eye check for glaucoma, and all is well in that department...don't need to use drops yet.
I am sooooooooo glad Big Brother has started. I can't believe it's been on for 8 years! Wow! For those who watched...did you see the girl named Jen crying copious tears because she hated the picture of her they put up.....sheesh! It seems this year all the girls have very big boobs! And very tiny bikinis! And Two Gay Guys this year...what fun!
I had been waiting a whole month for the first episode, and guess what? Our power went out and I missed the first episode...wouldn't you know it?
