Testing my Camera

Okay, this is a picture of my evil cat. The other one I took, his eyes were yellow. I tried to use the 'remove red eye' function, but apparently it doesn't remove 'yellow eye'. So this is the one I have.
This is his 'I am hungry, feed me right now' look. I cropped it because there was more floor showing than cat.
Still experimenting. But having fun. That is why I am up so late..trying out different things.
We took down our tree today. Didn't want to come back from Yarmouth with that tree still up! So, we are getting ready for our trip. Let's pray the weather holds....I'm dying for Chinese food!!!!
Well, must go try some other options.
Later guys.
Marsh

Ok, here I go!

Ok..here is some proof that I got a digital camera for Christmas!
I've been trying to figure it out ever since. This is my first try...still have lots to learn about it. But I love it! It's little and cute! But it has a lot of options and buttons!!!!!!! Just learning the basics now. We had a really good Christmas. Now getting ready for New Year's Eve. I will bring my camera and my books and maybe somebody can help me figure out things like lighting etc. Hehehehehe.
Hope you all had a good one. I will try some more pictures later...see if I get any better.
Tata for now.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi people...I realize it's been quite a while since I posted - Dec 6 to be exact. But I was just getting over my annual Christmas depression....hahahahahaha!
We have our tree up and decorated...spruce needles all over the floor but easier to sweep than to vacuum! The tree looks really nice and if I had a digital camera I would have sent a picture..hehehehe. Maybe later?????????
Not much new going on here. We have no snow, it's been quite mild. According to the news it's been mild everywhere in the east. Doesn't really feel like Christmas without snow.....or kids!
Even though we had a big Turkey dinner for Dad's birthday, I am still looking forward to Christmas dinner! That was always my favorite part...other than receiving tons of gifts of course. Mom always went a little crazy at Christmas.
I was watching an Ad on TV for a Christmas Flower Centerpiece and I was actually thinking "I should order that for Mom"...then I remembered. Maybe we should chip in on a Christmas thingie for Mom for her gravesite....just a thought Nannan!
Now I must spend the next few hours catching up on blogs.
IF I get a digital camera for Christmas...I will be blogging more with my interesting pictures of my interesting life....hahahahahahaha..Man I Kill Myself Sometimes (with my humour)!
Talk to you all later
Lots of Happiness to you all....Marsh

Snow and Stuff

Hi folks. We had a little bit of snow here!!! Well, actually, not as much as this picture shows...but we had snow. It's still on the ground. The ground is white!!! If I had a digital camera, I could show you...hint, hint hint..Jim (he's watching me). But it was quite a dirty night..not as bad as Halifax though.
Well, we have got a lot done. I was going to write a song about it, but the only tune I could think of was "Can Do", and I've already done that..hehehe.
We've got all our shopping done..except for ourselves (I want a digital camera). We've got Shannon's parcel all wrapped and ready to go. We've got our Christmas Cards done (we only send six so I suppose that's not a major accomplishment). We have our house decorated with lights. It looks so nice at night. We will be putting up our tree on Sunday - a real one! I wish I knew what to get Jim..I"m on a budget so I can't get him anything really great! Shirts and pants I suppose (he's gone now). So boring. I'd like to get him some kind of boy toy - i.e. a tool, or something like that. I'll figure something out I guess.
Well, yesterday I cleaned the whole downstairs. Swept and washed floors etc etc etc. This morning when I got up and went into the kitchen, I noticed a bunch of dirty cloths on the kitchen counter and I knew right away what happened - because it had just happened two days prior. Jim spilled his pop all over the coffee table and floor!!!!!!! Again!!!!! He blames the coasters...they're not absolutely flat, so his glass always tips over is his story. Gads...so I had to wash the floor again. Good thing I'm on medication. Hehehehe.
But now that we're on the topic...Men are messy! Why do they have to be such slobs? When they make a sandwich, why can't they wipe up the crumbs? When they eat a bag of chips or a chocolate bar, why can't they put the wrappers in the garbage? When they lay down on the couch, why can't they fold the blanket after they get up? Why can't they wipe their shoes before they come in the house? Why can't they wipe out the sink after they've trimmed their beard? Why? I want to know! And......why can't they put a new roll of toilet paper on the roll? Why do they just put it on top of the roll. And why do they put their dirty clothes on TOP of the clothes hamper? Why why why? Any answers out there?
I could go on for hours...but my hands are hurting from typing? Good thing we women are so perfect! Can you imagine what the planet would like if women were as sloppy as men? Yikes!!!!
Talk to you all later....Marsh

It's about Time

that I did a blog. I've been very lazy.
See this pretty little girl right here. She is my granddaughter Megan, daughter of Paul. I haven't seen here since she was two. Her mother stole her away and they are in the States somewhere, as far as I know. This picture both fills my heart to bursting, and also actually breaks my heart. The tears are close when I look at it. I sincerely hope I live long enough to see her again...What a beauty though!! I always said she took after me...hahahaha.
Well Travellin Man was here and we had a nice time. We decided to have either a late Thanksgiving or an early Christmas, so we had Turkey with all the trimmings, including pumpkin pie. It was yummy. Jimmy and Charlotte gave over as well. First time in years I've had enough to room to serve a meal for five people...and we ate in the living room, away from the mess....it was so nice!
Then we watched a movie, and went to bed. Sounds boring but it wasn't. The next day we went looking around the mall. Hard to find any parking and I imagine it will be busy like that right up until Christmas. We are getting a New Wal-Mart and it is huge. They hope to be open by Christmas.
We've had no snow here yet Thank God, very mild weather. We hope to put up our Christmas lights this weekend. Try to get in the mood!!!!!
Well...gonna read the blogs now....talk to you all later....love, Marsha
