Paul In Kandahar

There he is...'my baby'. In Kandahar....Well, the real news is, that he managed to get home for a week. It was supposed to be for two weeks.but it didn't work out that way. Silvia was very disappointed.
Anyway, when we found out he was going to be home, we drove all the way up there non-stop - stayed with him for two days - then drove all the way back non-stop! Man I have never been so tired in my life. But it was so good to see him. This is a picture he gave me..I have a couple of pictures taken in Borden while we were there, but they are still on my camera. He is as red as a lobster and has lost some weight. He looks good. Unfortuneatley he has to go back for at least another two months..could be more. I hate it. He has been shot at! My son has been shot at while driving an armored vehicle. None of the bullets could penetrate the vehicle or the windows, but he has pictures of the bullet holes. It is more dangerous over there than they let on. The Militia can't move without getting attacked. God, I will be glad when this over.

I feel evil

Isn't he cute? Hahahahaha..He shares the blue blankie with Tuffycat. They both love it! Almost lost it the other day. It was hanging on the line (yes, I do occasionaly wash it!) and the wind was blowing so hard I figured it would end up in Yarmouth somewhere. But somehow the 1600 clothes pins (slight exaggeration, it was only 16) I put on it held. By the way, speaking of clothespins, don't buy them from the Dollar Store..They break very easily and only last for about two hang-ups.
Anyhoo...Jim doesn't even know I have this picture...and would kill me (well, not actually kill me) if he knew I posted it. But I thought it was cute....if you look at it full size you can see that his mouth is open...and if you listen carefully you can hear him snoring!!!!
In other news, our TV broke down...well actually it still works, but it's very snowy and hard to see and annoying. And for a Couch Potato, when the TV goes kaput....that's it! So we went to ever trusty Wal-Mart and bought a new TV. We bought a flat screen, skinny 32" TV with HDTV (High Definition, whatever that means), etc etc etc. What a beautiful picture. And it was cheap! I mean inexpensive. Anyway...can't live without a TV, so I guess we won't be eating much for a while. But I love it.
Well, that's all the news for a now...no, oh wait...I forgot...we had to mow our lawn today for the first time. So maybe winter is over!

Our Anniversary

Hi all, if anybody is out there..May 10th is our anniversary.
Five years of wedded bliss.
Well, actually we have been married 16 years..but according to my calculations, we have Had Five Years of Wedded Bliss..not all in a row..but, you know, a day here, a day there, it all adds up..Hahahhahahhahahhaha.
Actually I don't even recognize those two people. They look so Young!
I'm in the process of writing a song about it.

A lot of years older and and getting fat

That's as far as I've gotten...sung to the tune of Sixteen Tons.

Who is that Hooded Guy?

Who is this hooded person? Who can it be? Who would be so rude as to pull a hood over their head just as a picture is being snapped?

I think he's cute, but it's hard to tell. Here's a hint..he lives in Nfld, and apparently he smiles a lot from what I can see.

Trying to get a picture of this person is like trying to get a piece of popcorn out of your teeth..hehehehe. That's the best analogy I could come up with, sorry.

Anyhoo...I think I can find an actual picture of this person if I search my computer.

Ah ha.....I do believe that is him.

At the computer as usual. His name is Jamie, although when he first started school, they called him James. Now they call him Jimmy. He has many aliases (or is it aliai...hehehe). However, he is cute after all. Not smiling though cause I begged and pleaded for a serious picture. I didn't mean for him to actually BE serious. I meant for him to not fool around and make faces.

Oh well..there he is my baby boy.

The weather here has been yucky...no sun. I'm sure Mikki will appreciate that. They are probably having a heat wave in Nfld now that I am home.

I've been keeping my legs shaved just in case a sunny day comes along..but no luck yet.

Other than that....there is nothing new here.

Will post more pics of Nfld at a later blog.
