Curtains

This is a blurry picture of my beautiful curtains which I purchased from E-Bay for an excellent price. Unfortuneatly you can't see them very well, and of course, Jim is in the way..hehehehe. However, it might give you an idea of what they look like. The tie-backs were croceheted especially for me by an excellent crocheter, and therefore are very exclusive.
Okay, this is the millionth day I've worked on the downstairs toilet..and it's slowly coming. After I rinse out the the CLR that's in there now, I am going to try Funnyface's idea of Javex on paper towels.
Now, actually the toilet looks pretty good. But, if some day, someone comes into my house and has to puke in that toilet..they may notice some faded rust stains up under the rim. And that just won't do! All rust stains must go...even the ones that can only seen by someone puking in my toilet!!! And please, don't say I have OCD...cause I know that.
Now, alll the downstairs floors are washed (by the way Magic Eraser works excellently on scuff marks..I love it..I cannot nor will not live without it any more).
So, I am very happy. Now for the upstairs. I have cleared a room for guests...however I have to obsessively clean it..and then get some furniture for it.
I'm looking for either a bed or a futon....and something to make it pretty.
So I am quite happy here....Jim has done wonders with hooking up all the electronics and hiding the wires. Tuffy is exceedingly happy now that he has a room for himself when he gets tired of me petting him. He doesn't sleep with me all the time now....sob sob sob.
The house seems to very well insulated..no drafts...and the digital thermostat is just so cool!!!!!!
My fingers are still wrinkled and my fingernails will eventually grow back I am sure.

Jim wrecking my house

Here is a blurry picture of Jim wrecking my house!! Hehehehe. Actually is putting a TV in the Dining Room. Somehow he has a very old TV hooked up to our Digital Thingie...and we can both watch the same channel at the same time in different rooms?????? Don't ask me how??? Only problem is, if I'm on the computer he has control of the Clickie!!!!!! So I could be watching something and suddenly it will change to a Documentary about Dead Egypitions or Adolf Hitler, or something equally as boring!
Well, we are getting a little settled in...got a whole lot done today. The porch is cleaned out, all the boxes and garbage is gone, some pictures are up...the TV is hooked up in this room..and after four days of working on and off on the downstairs bathroom..it looks like it might come clean. Still a lot of work to do.
Now, on that subject...I can't believe the wonder of Magic Eraser!!!!! It keeps on cleaning right up until the point it actually disintegrates! I have scrubbed down the whole shower stall...and it was quite easy. It's the ding dang toilet that is driving me crazy..I have used Spry-On CLR....then the real CLR in the grey bottle, brushes, cloths and even my own fingernails....and it's still not perfect!!!!
But, I will persevere....I will get it white. Today my hands were all wrinkled, and most of my fingernails are broken. How anybody could get a toilet that bad is way beyond me. They let it run...it only cost $5.00 to replace the rubber thingie???????
And the Shower Stall.....yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, so far the upstairs bathroom is to my satisfaction...the kitchen is to my satisfaction.....the living room is almost to my satisfaction. Got a long ways to go!
Gotta get a bedroom ready upstairs for any guests that may suddenly appear.
And, I finally figured out how to program the digital thermostat! Sheesh!!!
Now, let's see what I need!
A bed
Four Dining Room Chairs
A night table for the bed.
Lamp shades.
Curtains.
A shower curtain.
Some decorations for the bathroom.
Paint
The list goes on and on....too bad I don't have any money! hehehehehe.
The outside of the house looks pretty shitty, but inside it's nice....I like it...I like it a lot!
Well, that's my news for now...my tired and cracked and dry fingers are having a hard time typing.
Mikki....my hands are dry....I know how much you hate that! Well, not my hands being dry....yours!

I'm Baaccckkkkk!

Hi all....I'm back! God, what a time we had! Busy, busy, busy! First, all the toilets sinks and bathtubs were filhy with rust. The downstairs toilet had been running for the past hundred years I think, and the upstairs bathroom tap was running, so we got those fixed right away! Then I bought CLR and Magic Eraser and Lysol and Javex!!!! I don't know if I'll get the rust out of the downstairs bathroom....but, upstairs that Magic Eraser is really Magic!!!!! I got the tub clean and didn't even have to scrub!!! Got the toilet done....and now I have to work on the sink. Not totally unpacked yet...but no problem. I'll get to it. The upstairs bedrooms are totally small!!!!!!! The only thing I can get in my room, which is bright red by the way (ewwwwwwww) is the bed and the TV stand....my dresser is in the other room with the closet in it, so I guess that's the dressing room! Now, our bed is a queen size bed, and Jim had to CUT IT IN TWO to get it up the stairs, then nail it back together! Gads....and I had to help him get it upstairs!!!! And it fell on both my feet at one point! Good thing I was numb with exhaustion, or I might have cried a lot....hehehehe. Today, I am cleaning. The house is quite old but Jim is quite handy and can fix up things. Tuffy is a very happy cat....he has a whole house to roam in..and he's been outside and come back...so he's at home. There a ton of cats around here. Okay...gotta get back to work. Talk to you all later....ciao.

Very Quick Blog

Hi all, we are moving today....here is our new information...write this down!!!!! Our new street address is 156 Rutherford Street. Our new mailing address is P.O. Box 3507, Stellarton, N.S. B0K1S0 As of Wednesday, which is when I should be hooked up to the Internet again, we will have a home phone number which is 902-695-5141. I will NO longer have a cell phone, repeat, I will no longer have a cell phone......Do not call my old number. As of Wednesday. Jim will still have his cell phone. Saw the house yesterday. It is quite old, and needs some work done on the inside, but Jim is very handy, thank God. There is only one closet for clothes (so far) so I guess Jim's will have to lay on the floor...hehehehe. Waiting and Things

Still waiting to move. Talked to young Jimmy today, and the closing had been delayed for a week...so Friday is the closing date...which means we will have to move really fast to be out of here in time to get half a months rent back. But, apparently all is going well, no need to freak out, which we have been doing. Actually, we are already arguing about the dispostion of the furniture...but I'm not worried..I will win...hehehehe.
Now, things:
a)..Our car is fried!..We can only drive it in daylight. All the dashboard electronics are gone, finished, kaput!. We have no lights, no speedometer, no odometer, no gas gauge, no oil light...nada, nil, zilch! The cost to replace is over $1000 for a new one....or around $400 for a used one. Might as well be a million dollars. Therefore the Blazer is off the market and will become our main vehicle, even though it's old and hard on gas! Sob sob sob.
b)..This is for Mikki..I borrowed a well-read and rat nibbled Dean Koontz book from her called Frankenstein. I was unaware that it was part of a trilogy..the second part. I read the book with complete fascination..really good...but it did not end.....Have to read the third part!!!! Mikki, if you're out there, do you have the Third part!!!!! Please, the world was about to be taken over, and I have no idea what happened!!!!!
c) I was talking to Shannon on the phone the other night..and she reads our blogs but doesn't know how to post an answer on publish a blog. But she does have a blog set up. So I explained it to her and hope to hear from her soon. She just got promoted and is doing well. Cole started school, and so far he likes it.

Happy Thanksgiving Day

Hi all, Happy Thanksgiving Day! We are having fish cakes...hehehehe...all turkey cooking accoutrements are packed!!!! I am sitting here amongst hundreds of boxes, most packed, some unpacked, and I am freaking out. First of all, it feels like I'm living in the warehouse of a used furniture store!!! And second of all, I'm having trepidations about the sale of the house going through. My nerves are shot, my stomach is all aflutter, I'm restless, edgy, nervous!!!! There is nothing more to pack, and can't clean around all the clutter. Sheesh. How do you guys like my new template....I have my own personal template made for me by my loving daughter Mikki....she's so smart!!!!!! I like it. Well, yesterday I went to the new Wal Mart! Holy Smokes it's huge. But I hate the way it's laid out. Food and other stuff sort of all mixed in together. Hard to tell where anything is. Anyway, instead of buying Hickory Sticks, I decided to get a treat - a fruit tray! It has delicious strawberries, pineapple, canteloupe, and that green melon which is great....and it cost $10.00. I ate quite a bit of it yesterday, and the sad thing is, that my body is so used to junk, that the fruit quite surprised and I've been having cramps all day!!!! Hehehehehe....Hickory Sticks never gave me cramps. And Spinach is killing people, and today some Lettuce has been recalled. I think this is a Terrorist Plot. Poison the healthy food, then the people will be reduced to eating junk and we will all eventually die of high cholesterol and hardening of the arteries. Well, much go....despite the cramps I'm going to have some more fruit. I love it. Pray that we will be moving tomorrow or Wednesday.......please! Love, Marsha

Cryyyiiiiinnnnnnnggggg!

Just wanted to let you know that I am still cryyyyiiiiinnnngggg, boo hoo hoo! I'm sitting here on the day I was supposed to be moving, in a house full of chaos! There are boxes everywhere, all the pictures have been taken down, the curtains are down, there's stuff everywhere....all packed and nowhere to go. Jim even packed all the canned food today....now we've got nothing to eat!!!!
Ahh..slight exaggeration there...we have some bread and eggs and cheese and hot dogs and balogna and crackers. But...we don't even have kraft dinner..it's packed. Poop Poop Poop. I guess you guys will probably get tired of my sob story...but sorry, this is my blog, and if I want to sob for days and days...well, too bad! Hehehehe. Jim had built cupboards everywhere, and he's even taken them down. The place looks awful. You can tell where every picture used to be....the walls are so dirty. But, the pictures are clean. Man, I am not a very good housekeeper...plus, we smoke...so you can imagine what the walls look like.
We are giving the kitchen cupboards Jim made to the lady next door..and the bathroom cupboards too. These places don't have many cupboards..she is thrilled to be getting them. She wants to pay..but no way!!!!!
Now, we have a guy really interested in buying the truck..which is a good thing...but....if he buys it tonight then we won't have it to move with! Mixed blessings. And Jim's nephew's truck blew up the other day, so we don't have the use of that either. Thank God it blew up before we borrowed it!!! We have a bad reputation with vehicles.
I know, I'm rambling on and on, but it's hard to think straight when you're cryyyyyiiiiinnnnggggg!!!!!
I put myself through such agony knowing it will all work out in the end. Can't help it...I got it from somebody I guess....worry is my middle name. Mikki has it too. I'm very impatient....when I want something...I want it right away!!!!!!!!!
I was going to take a picture of the living room....but guess what....my little camera is packed!!!! In what box, I do not know!

Arrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!

The closing has been delayed by three days....freak, freak,freak! Dad-blasted, yuckity-yuck, friggedy-frig!!!!!! @#$#%#$# Mikki knows exactly how I feel! I hate it! These past few days have been dragging along....and now a delay! A Freaking Delay!!! And do you know why? Do you? Do you know why? Do you have any idea why? Can you possibly imagine why? Can you? Well, I'll tell you why! Because the Dad-Blasted, Stupid, Freaking Appraiser didn't get the appraisal to the Bank yet!!!!!!!! Ohhhhhhh....he's only had over a month to do it!!!!!!!! I realize how rushed he was (she says sarcastically). But...gadzooks..these people don't give a poopy-doop about their clients. The Sellers want their money...The Buyers want their house. And they doodle along...dedede..dadada..dododo...taking their freaking time! Because...oh well, sorry! They know they will get paid anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that the rant is over, I am breaking down into sobs.....sob sob sob.....sob..sob..sob.sob...
I am living in chaos...boxes everywhere...almost everything packed.....all laundry done....ready to go!

Hi, Bloggers...remember me??? Anyhoo, this is a picture of one of the bedrooms..there are three, but I only have pictures of two, and since the other one is pink, and there seems to be a lot of complaints about pink, I thought I'd show this one. Granted, there appears to be a lot of pink in this room, but that will change, since I don't have anything pink!!!!
I've been a lazy blogger. I've been getting up really early, packing and cleaning, and then I get really tired in the afternoon, and just fall asleep for the rest of the day. Jim got back from Ont. last night around 6:30. Tired out but safe and sound. I got a tad worried when I heard about the overpass collapse near Montreal where they say five people were killed.
We will be getting the keys to the house on Friday afternoon, and plan to move on the weekend. I don't know how long I will be incommunicado...but getting back online is my top priority! Apparently though, they only do Stellarton one day a week...Yikes!!!!!!!
I ran out of boxes, so I actually packed the junk from under the sink in a Sobeys bag!!!!! That's desperate. But Jim will get me more boxes today. Not packing clothes...just taking the dresser drawers over the way they are, and as messy as they are!!! And leaving the clothes on hangars and throw them in the back seat of the car.
Well, better check of the blogs...probably take a while...hehehehe.
